Roseland resident Madeline M. Parr, 95, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Heritage at College View. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026, and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 23, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland with Father Brian Wirth officiating. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in Assumption. Visitation will be January 22, 2026 from 1:00 p.m – 4:00 p.m. at Butler Volland Funeral Home in Hastings and 6:00-7:00 p.m., January 22, 2026 with family present at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland. Memorials be given to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family. Madeline was born on July 3, 1930, in Roseland, NE. to John and Sarah (Willmes) Horton. She graduated from Roseland High School. Madeline married Bernard Parr on January 23, 1951, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2014. She was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altar Society in Roseland. Madeline lived a life rooted in love, family, and faith. She found joy in time spent with her family. Her warmth and unwavering support will be deeply missed.

Madeline was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Bernard, her twin brother, LaVerne; brothers, Glen and Richard; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Horton. SURVIVORS:
