Hastings resident, Frank J. Mueller, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE.

Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Butler Volland Chapel and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Matthew Schilmoeller officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Butler Volland Funeral Home with family present from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. The family requests memorials be given to the family to be established at a later date. Frank was born on June 1, 1940, in Grand Island, NE, to Frank Sr. and Emma (Skibinski) Mueller. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High School. On August 13, 1960, he married June Rockholm at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Grand Island, Nebraska.

He was an electrician and worked for over 20 years as the state electrical inspector, he was a member of IBEW Electrician Union #265. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. He loved to travel all over the country and Europe to watch his Grandson’s play baseball. Frank was a member of the Eagles for 63 years, which earned him the honor of being named the oldest living active Eagles member.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bradley Mueller; Brothers, Raymond & Edward; Sister, Leona Graham and an infant brother. SURVIVORS: Wife: June Mueller – Hastings, NE Son: Frank D. “Doug” Mueller – Hastings, NE Daughter: Marilee Grace – Lee’s Summit, MO

Grandchildren: Christopher Mueller Alexander (Barbara) Merithew & children Sammy & Junie Joshua Merithew & Fiance’ Hannah Broockerd Jacob Merithew Nathaniel (Rachel) Mueller Zachary (Ashley) Mueller Faith (Wyatt) Simmerman Jonathan Mueller Leiah Mueller He is also survived by several Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.
