Howard was born July 4, 1942, in Hastings, NE, to Howard E. and Hazel (Martin) Ransom. He grew up in Hastings and graduated from Hastings High School in 1960. On April 26, 1962, he married the love of his life, Karen Grinstead, at Redeemer Evangelical Church in Hastings. Howard will be remembered for his gentle spirit, love of nature, and the deep devotion he held for those closest to him.
